Sennelier D’Artigny Oil Pastel Fixative 400ml is designed specifically for oil pastels, made from a transparent vinyl resin that creates a smooth gloss. It protects against dust and strengthens the surface to prevent accidental damage. Since oil pastels have a non-drying binder, this fixative doesn't fully dry them but does minimize smudging and dust accumulation. It may require several applications to fully set. While fixatives can alter pastel colors, Sennelier D’Artigny Oil Pastel Fixative has minimal color shift. It adds a shiny sheen that can be adjusted with an acrylic varnish.
